All good things must come to an end, whether we want them to or not.
Performing at the Brudenell Social Club in Leeds, this was to be the last show of the last ever tour by The Ukrainians. After more than 35 years, time was being called. And the Brudenell seemed like the perfect choice to bring down the curtain.
Covering their expansive back catalogue, we were treated to two sets of their finest songs. This included tracks from their latest album, Liberatsiya.
The chaps put in a cracking performance and left everything up on the stage. The room was buzzing with energy and there were several outbreaks of vigorous dancing, especially when Hopak made an appearance in the set! This was certainly a celebration of what has been and not what is being lost. Though they may appear at a festival or two. Watch this space…
