Frank Turner kicked off his latest tour, not long after returning from his American tour, in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Performing at Newcastle University’s Student Union, this was to be Frank’s 3,135th gig. He’s certainly a grafter. He’s also a talented musician who can craft a cracking song. The fact the venue was sold out, as is the whole tour, demonstrates just how much he is loved by a loyal band of fans.

We were treated to all six tracks from the 2006 EP release “Campfire Punkrock’, re-released to celebrate its twentieth anniversary, along with another sixteen tracks from his sizeable back catalogue.

He was ably supported by Dave Hause and Katacombs who more than did their bit in getting the crowd warmed up.
