June 23rd 2016 - The population of the UK awoke to the news that the United Kingdom would be leaving the European Union. A referendum was held and the public had spoken - 51.9% of those who voted backed leaving the EU. This became commonly known as Brexit.

The New Year was still in its infancy. The town had just witnessed another busy 'fun-filled' Saturday night in its pubs and clubs. However, for one person the night would take a fatal turn. A popular young woman from the town had seemingly disappeared off the radar. She had left her favourite nightclub in the early hours and headed off alone through the rain-soaked streets.
